The eChallenges e-2015 Conference takes place in Vilnius, Lithuania. This is the twenty-fifth in a series of annual technology research conferences supported by the European Commission and hosted by national governments.

eChallenges attracts participation from senior representatives of leading government, industry and research organisations around the world.

eChallenges e-2015 will provide an international forum to foster ICT related entrepreneurship and innovation, share experiences, increase awareness of innovative applied ICT applications and research results, and identify opportunities for research collaboration under Horizon 2020, in the context of the new Work Programme for 2016 - 2017.

The goals of eChallenges e-2015 are to promote ICT Entrepreneurship and Innovation, facilitate Information Society and Applied ICT related knowledge sharing between government, industry and research stakeholders, raise awareness of the current state of eAdoption in developing countries, stimulate rapid take-up of RTD results by the public and private sectors, and identify opportunities for ICT related research and innovation collaboration under Horizon 2020.

Event Profile

The eChallenges Conference Series has a truly international perspective, typically attracting over 300 delegates from over 50 countries and five continents each year.

Its reputation is based on high quality plenary presentations and high quality papers and discussion sessions in the Scientific Programme. The high quality conference community ensures a stimulating, high quality networking environment, providing an opportunity to share knowledge and experience with potential innovation and research partners. Each conference showcases host country activities, as well as sectoral and national initiatives and regional success stories

Registration

Deadline for online registration for presenters is 14 September and Early Bird delegates 09 October.

Programme

The Programme is based on the Call for Papers which closed in June.

The Advance Programme combines strategic keynote presentations related to Horizon 2020, technical papers, business and government case studies and workshops.

Call for Practitioner and Oral Presentation - Deadline 09 October

Submissions are invited for Practitioner and Oral Presentations for inclusion in the final programme, which will be published in October.

These 15 minute oral presentations (with PowerPoint) should focus on sharing insight, field experiences and lessons learnt. Presentations related to the following topics are particularly welcome

- eGovernment/mGovernment

- Digital Libraries

- Cloud Computing / eInfrastructures

- eHealth

- Technology Enhanced Learning

Please send a one A4 page proposal in MS Word 97 - 2003 to secretariat@eChallenges.org addressing the following points

- Abstract (Summarise key points to be addressed in your presentation

- Introduction (Justification/Rationale and Purpose of activity/project/research)

- Methodology (e.g. characteristics of target population, how was data collected)

- Results (e.g. Analysis conducted and findings)

- Discussion (identify most interesting findings, provide an explanation/rationale)

- Implications (e.g. how will findings help others, what should future work in this area do)

- Conclusions (e.g. Why is this work important, key lessons learnt, actionable recommendations)

Please note that this call is to facilitate presenters who missed the Call for Papers and who are not already in the Advance Programme. Each presenter can present one paper or Practitioner Presentation or Oral Presentation in the Programme.
