Transportation

Brnik, Ljubljana's international airport is located 23 kilometres to the north-west of the city centre, towards Gorenjska. It has direct scheduled flights from destinations including Paris Charles De Gaulle, Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, London-Gatwick, Zurich and Budapest. The airport is 15 kilometres from the city centre and less than 30 minutes away from the Grand Hotel Union by shuttle service (bus and train) or taxi. A single fare for the shuttle costs approx 4 Euro.

Delegates may also avail of the Ljubljana Card which is valid for 3 days and offers a series of free entrance to museums and galleries, free travels on city buses as well as a series of discounted rates for some sightseeing tours, restaurants, taxi rates and shops. The cost is approximately 13 Euro.

A taxi will cost you approximately 30 Euro from the airport to Ljubljana city centre. The railway station is a few minutes walk from the City Centre and is easily accessible.

Ljubljana is linked by motorway and by rail to major European cities: From Villach, Austria E651, from Klagenfurt, Austria E652/E61, from Gratz, Austria E57/E59, from Trieste, Italy E61/E70, from Zagreb, Hungary E70 and from Budapest, Hungary E57/E71.

Markun Airport Shuttle Services

Markun Airport shuttle services is pleased to support e-2005 and is offering all delegates a discounted price for single tickets to and from the airport. Upon presentation of the e-2005 Letter of confirmation, delegates can purchase single tickets for 7 Euro from the nominated Markun employee on the bus.
